To improve the safety of our waterways, the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee is testing Near Miss reporting. During this trial period, we are accepting reports (near miss scenarios) as well as comments (support, concerns, suggestions). Please feel free to offer either or both with the provided form.

 

The Chicago Harbor Safety Committee’s focus is on education – not enforcement. Consequently, there are no punitive actions as the objective of near miss reporting is to collect and share data.
