  • Has served on the Board of Pilot Commissioners for Harris County Ports Pilot Board Investigation Review Committee (PBIRC) representing the interests of the brownwater towing vessel community for the past 20 years and was appointed Chairman in 2020

  • Immediate Past Chairman of the Lone Star Harbor Safety Committee, and Chairman of the committee's Navigation Operations Subcommittee.

  • Founding member of TVIB, an approved Coast Guard Third Party Organization for Subchapter M compliance and past president of the board of directors

  • Founding member of Quality Auditing, LC.

  • Co-author of the Coast Guard Accepted Marine Internal Lead Auditor (MILA) course satisfying the requirements of 46 CFR 138.310(d)(2)

PERSONAL

  • Husband to an amazing wife and father to three great sons

  • Enjoys serving with his wife in the mission fields of Africa and Haiti.
