Todd Ripley

General Engineer, Office of Safety, U.S. Maritime Administration

Todd has 30 years of federal service and currently serving in the Office of Safety at the Maritime Administration (MARAD).  In addition to serving as the agency’s liaison to Ship Operations Cooperative Program (SOCP), he serves as MARAD liaison to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and Marine Board under the National Academy of Science, and Department of Transportation (DOT) Research, Development & Technology (RD&T) Planning Team that is responsible for coordinating department research.  He is a past Chairman of ASTM International’s Committee on Ships and Marine Technology (ASTM F25) that develops and maintains commercial consensus standards in support of the maritime industry, served as chairmanship of TRB’s Standing Committee on Marine Safety and Human Factors (AW040) and is current Co-Chairman of U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS) Maritime Innovative Science & Technology (MIST) Integrated Action Team (IAT).
